Butterfly Gardens

The girls just inside the Meijer Gardens.
Beautiful flowers and butterflies.
Taylor posing by a butterfly.

One of the butteflies that blended in.

It took us a while, but the girls finally found the clear butterfly.

Outside in the sculpture garden--here is a treehouse.

The horse sculpture came in several sizes. Morgan with the medium size.
Mini size of the horse.
Here is the large size of the horse--Jordan can't reach this foot. :)
The full view of the big horse--Taylor is below center and Morgan is stretching up to reach the front foot.
Jordan "rolling" down the big hill. She first rolled sideways and then just scooched down on her bottom.

The girls and I visited the Meijer Butterfly Gardens in Grand Rapids with another teacher and some friends. The girls loved it--Taylor and Morgan had been to this one 3 years ago and more recently to the Butterfly Gardens on Mackinac Island with their grandparents last summer. They each got a little booklet with pictures of the butterflies to look for. There is also a sculpture garden outside, so we were able to go through that (which was a relief after the tropical atmosphere the butterflies are housed in).
Here are the girls flying their kites at the house. Not very exciting, but they thought it was great. :)

Small town Saturday night

Jeff and Coke, this post is for you. The girls and I had a great day. Bracken went with all of us to a pancake breakfast after we all slept in until nearly 9. Then the girls and I went shopping, visited a new baby, went to a princess dress-up birthday party, and then tried to go bowling. There wasn't any open bowling, but when we got home, The Princess and the Frog had come in the mail, so while they were watching I finally got my dress on and had the girls take some pictures. :) I had straightened my hair last night while I was waiting for Bracken and just re-straightened it a bit today.

Dresses from Grandma Netcott

Grandma sent these dresses today, so the girls tried them on after swimming lessons and before getting p.j's on. :)
