Happy Birthday Gram Bilyeu

Well it seems we have a rash of birthdays in a row. Mom, the girls were a little bit goofy on this one!

More snow pictures.

Can't even see the swings!
Those are Bracken's 50 gallon barrels there in the snow.

Jordan thought she was going to go somewhere--ha! All the kids ended up getting sick too, so we had lots of fun inside.

Snowed in.

Jordan and Taylor at a Muskegon hockey game.
Morgan at the game. We only lasted 1 period. :)
Morgan wanted to pose for a few pictures with the really tall snow.
Morgan in the sidewalk.
I tried clearing off the van for the run down the driveway. :)
Morgan peeking over the biggest pile that we shovel into. One of our indoor activities was manicures and pedicures--maybe you can see Jordan's toenails. She is getting pretty good at holding still and then blowing on them--whatever her sisters are doing.

Jordan in pigtails in the rocking chair.
We've had yet another snow storm. This one lasted about 36 hours and brought between 18 and 24 inches of snow. Bracken was out of town, so we couldn't get out of the driveway. Some friends came and plowed a path for us to get out of the driveway, but when I went down that, it was still pretty tough getting out. So, we just stayed in. We did go to a birthday party/hockey game Friday night before all the snow started, so it was fine to stay inside anyway.

This is better.

Here's what I was trying to do from windows movie maker. After the 4th try it finally saved correctly. Hmm.

Jordan on the phone

Well, unfortunately I didn't orient this correctly when filming. I tried editing it in Windows Movie Maker which worked well, but then I couldn't upload it to any of my websites. Oh well. Here's Jordan pretending she's on the phone.

Jordan "running"

Jordan is trying her best to run fast and keep up with her sisters. I think it looks hilarious. She's running on one of the rugs that we got to cover the hardwood floor (this one will go under the table). Oh yeah, she'd just had her diaper changed too (that's one of her cloth diapers) and she loves to run away from that with or without the diaper/pants back on. :)

Remodeling--carpet removed

This room is done now--we repainted the window trim white too.
Just starting to rip up the carpet. The floor was pretty good underneath in many spots.

This half of the floor is just sanded except for under the couch which is all done.

Here are some views of the computer room and living room with the paint jobs partially or fully done. In the last picture, you can see the contrast between the light cream we used and the dirty white we used to have--there are a few walls that are a darker olive color as well. You can also see Bracken starting to tear up the carpet and then what the floor looks like today. Bracken has stained and varnished about half of the wood and plans to do some polishing after he is done with that. I'll post more when we are done.

Oh yeah, in one picture, the girls are showing their minnie mouse necklaces and Jordan's stuffed minnie mouse that they got in the mail today from Grandma and Grandpa Netcott. They love them!

Remodeling

Although we are remodeling (the homemade kind--Bracken's doing most of the work with some assistance from me), these pictures are of Jordan. I'll put up more pictures of the actual painting and hardwood floor refinishing in a few days.

Jordan and I had been playing when she gave me my camera and said, "cheese". So, we took a few pictures and she was satisfied. I went downstairs to take down the tree (as Taylor and Morgan were gone with some friends and Bracken was taking a break from painting). After about 1/2 hour I thought I'd better check on how Bracken and Jordan were doing. I'd heard her at the top of the stairs shaking the gate a little, but that had died down.

When I arrived upstairs, Jordan was just sleeping on the floor in front of the gate. Bracken was also asleep out on the couch. I guess it had just reached nap time! We did put a blanket over Jordan before taking her picture and she continued to sleep there for over an hour as we worked around her. :) We are ripping out the carpet, but I guess it was comfortable enough for her.
