Happy Halloween!

We went trick or treating tonight (it was Jordan's first time). First we went to a festival that our village has at the local park. There was a costume contest, hot dogs and french fries to eat (for free!), bags of candy and gifts, and also hayrides. The girls enjoyed it all and the weather was even nice. Then we went to Montague and Whitehall and walked around getting way too much candy. Jordan was hilarious as she didn't really get it. But, she did wave and say hi to everyone and seemed to enjoy even the scary costumes. Morgan was Snow White, Taylor was "Cinderella" (but her costume was just a princess costume with lights that blink in the skirt), and Jordan was (a recycled costume) a fall princess. Yes, it appears we all think we are royalty in this family!

Fall is here!

This weekend was beautiful--70's. We got some pictures of the kids outside by some nice trees near our house. Aunt Drew had sent the girls some tutus she'd made and we tried a few pictures of those as well. Bracken's parents bought a house near us (which they will use as more of a summer home) and we had to take some pictures there for them as they are in CA right now, so did some tutu pictures at the same time.

Scavenger hunt

A waffle castle.
A mashed potato snowman.

Pyramid with at least one stranger.

Pose in the window of a store--blue steel pose for extra points (Zoolander).

Whole team in a booth with a family you don't know.
The plumbing at Plumbs.
Sliding down stairs on a mattress.
Whole team in one pair of suspenders.
Doing a slam dunk. This was after we had trick or treated at a stranger's house.
Dressed as a pirate.
Whole team in matching masks.
Grillz by a grill.
Giving a teammate a piggy back ride.
Team wearing burger king crowns.
Team on a slide at the same time
Team in the air at the same time (this actually took a few tries).

The high school DECA group put on a scavenger hunt this past Saturday. We had a teacher team and I'm posting a few of the pictures. We had 3 hours to get as many pictures of things on the list as possible. The biggest point getter was shaving an eyebrow, so I was fairly certain our team wasn't going to be a repeat winner. :) We still had plenty of fun though.

Sympathy

Taylor doesn't like to sit still, so timeouts work well for disciplining her. One method of time out that we use is "put your nose on the wall and count to 100". Today, when I gave her a timeout, Jordan decided to join in the fun. She just put her little nose on the wall and mumbled along with Taylor! She loves her big sister. Plus, she makes us all laugh. :)
