Vacation videos.
Here are the rest of the little video clips from our vacation.
Abe and Deb at the campfire the first night.
Mom and Sarah (Abe's girlfriend) also relaxed.
Tori, the daughter of the people we rented from, became fast friends with the girls.
Here is their funny pose for the camera.
Morgan and Taylor were so happy that Tori and her family shared the little electric vehicles.
Morgan even gave Jordan a ride.
The neighbors also took a load out on their raft. Deb rode in the spotter position.
On the pontoon--Jordan contemplates the function of sunglasses.
How do these things go on my face?
Auntie time.
Morgan and me.
Bracken let Morgan drive.
So Jordan decided she neede to drive too.
Happy with Pawpaw.
Taylor needed a little nap with Aunt Bekah.
Jordan really wanted in the water, so dad took her in for a bit.
Aunt Bekah with her nieces.
By the end of the ride we were all bundled up.
Shopping in Michigan City--Jordan walks between her aunties.
Taylor was the cause of many repairs to the bean bags with her overhand throws.
"hi"
Playing bean bag toss.
I love the sand, especially if it's very messy.
Another campfire.
Sarah and Taylor enjoy their smores.
Sitting around the campfire for smores again.
Taylor and Morgan rode their bikes in their pajamas to squeeze in one more activity before bedtime.
She doesn't care that she's riding in a nightgown at all.
Abe and Sarah
My parents rented two cabins on Bass Lake in Knox, Indiana for a week. Since Abe is leaving for grad school in North Dakota, this was one of our last chances to be together for a while. The whole family was able to make it for at least the weekend. Bek and Deb left Monday, Bracken left Tuesday, and Mom left Wednesday--some people still have to work in the summer. The girls and I, along with Pa, Abe, and Sarah were all able to stay the entire week--Saturday to Saturday. We had a great time being together and trying several games/activities. Abe and Sarah brought a bean bag game and bocce ball. Taylor and Morgan loved both of those. We also rented a pontoon one day, swam a bunch (or tanned as the case may be), played card games--Taylor and Morgan discovered Uno and slap jack, and there was even a local drive in movie theater. So, Bracken and I went two nights and Sarah and Abe joined us one night for Sarah's first drive in experience. On top of all that, we had time in the evenings to play some board games and watch the olympics.
The people that we were renting from were there on the weekends. They had three kids ages 5, 3, and 2. Taylor and Morgan loved playing with them, especially Tori the 5 year old. Taylor cried when they hugged good bye! Tori's family had the little cars for the kids to drive around and that was a big entertainment hit (plus they had the tree swing, so they were just the greatest). Taylor and Morgan slept in our tent one night all by themselves (and lasted the whole night too) and of course there were a couple of campfires with smores.
